Coast New Zealand was once again involved in the Louis Vuttion Trophy, which was held in Auckland in March.

Following the success of our VIP and sailors’ lounges at the inaugral regatta in 2009, our design team was approached by Louis Vuitton to transform a rather dreary upstairs space at the Viaduct Basin into suitable venue for entertaining LV’s guests – and in which the crews could relax between races.

We chose ‘Santorini’ as our inspiration and set about whitewashing the interior, hanging calico cutains and furnishing with deep sofas from Villa Kula and Dedon- together with XL beanbags and ottomans.  Finally we added plenty of plants from Palms Direct

Outside on the balcony we installed light Sunbrella awnings to create shade and draw guests outside to our custom-made outdoor sofas and Marine Bean beanbags.  We accented everything with mineral blue Sunbrella throw-cushions and (obviously) a huge grecian urn to complete the Aegean transformation.

Marine Beans were also popular on the Louis Vuitton specatator boats – and are even now en route to Sardinia for the next Louis Vuitton Trophy series.
